Our historic Inn was originally opened in 1926 as The Oak Park Manor. This architectural gem of Oak Park Ave was home to many literary figures. Poets of the era- such as Vincent Starrett- found the ambience of the hotel an excellent creative atmosphere for writing as well as relaxing. The Write Inn is a perfect tourist destination surrounded by shops- eating establishments and beautiful architecture. We also work well for the business traveler- being just 20 min from Chicago- easily accessible via the Green line train walking distance from the hotel.
